CONCLUSION
The Asus ROG Strix Scope PBT could have been my top recommendation if they had fully gone on a double-shot PBT route and at a slightly cheaper cost. The PBT keycaps were a good choice but going pad-printed was disappointing. I understand it costs more to have a custom font added on the keycaps but I see no benefit going with a custom font than a standard clean one.
Even though it had disappointed me in some areas, I see the benefit of having a bigger ctrl was a good feature, especially in FPS games. I can honestly say that sometimes I mistakenly hit the windows key during my gaming sessions. Switching the F5-12 keys with media keys and other functions was a good feature as well. I tend to use more the media commands rather than the f5-12 keys on a keyboard.
PROS
CONS
With all that said and done, I am giving the Asus ROG Strix Scope the Performance Award and Silver Award.
Asus ROG Strix Scope PBT Review
Summary
Overall, This could have been a top recommendation but with some disappointing choices from ROG like the pad-printed PBT instead of the double-shot ones and its price. It is still a solid board nonetheless.
No TKL version is not a downside of a full board, you #[email protected]*.
