CONCLUSION
I’m quite surprised with the ASUS TUF H3 gaming headset particularly its sound quality. Priced at only 2,000 pesos (sometimes lower if there are existing promos), this is definitely a bang-for-the-buck entry-level headset for gamers with a limited budget. The sound quality you are getting in this headset is actually quite better than some 50-60$ gaming headset in the market, even beating the higher model but older TUF H7 gaming headset in every aspect. I prefer 3.5mm connectivity since it is more versatile than USB since you can use it in your phone, or if you have an external dac/amp that is already available.
As for the microphone, you can even use the AI-noise canceling microphone adapter from ASUS ROG for better sound isolation but I think the built-in microphone from the headset is already decent. You can check the sound test above to hear my recording in my room with my fan beside me. So if you are planning to use this for your Skype/Zoom meetings, this is definitely an option to consider.
Overall, I’m quite happy with the quality of the TUF H3 aside from the plastic hinges that hold the yokes because it seems it will be the first thing to break in this headset.

SUMMARY
No RGB, No problem. The TUF H3 gaming headset is a good contender in its price range, heck it’s even better than its older brother, the TUF H7.
