AUDIO/SOUND
SOUND SIGNATURE AND IMPRESSIONS

Bass
The amount of bass here is heavy and quite boomy. It overpowers the other frequencies which ruins the enjoyment for me especially I am a guy who appreciate vocals on tracks but if you are a person who likes dubstep and other bass-heavy tracks. I think this is a good pickup.
Mids
Mids are mediocre and it lacks clarity when female vocals are on and struggles to give a proper detail.
Treble
Treble are very toned down here and don’t expect any sparkle to tracks that are treble-heavy as well.
Overall, The TUF H3 Wireless is gaming headset that has a bass-heavy sound signature. I quite expected it for a gaming headset is focused on cinematics and immersive gameplay.
SOUNDSTAGE, IMAGING, AND ISOLATION
The soundstage here is decent, and it does well as expected especially in gaming. I can easily pinpoint enemy locations with its good imaging and give call outs to my teammates.
The isolation on this one very good. Since this is a closed-back headset, it isolates well that can make you be more immersed in gaming.
COMFORT
The headset is decent in comfort. It has good padding all throughout the headset. It has a wide range of adjustments to accommodate different head sizes. The only gripe I had in most of ASUS headset I’ve reviewed is the how wide the earpads is and my ears don’t rest on the pad itself on the wall itself. I would suggest for Asus is to change diameter of the earpads or add padding on the driver wall.
And I suggest is to take breaks on using the headset or you will feel the fatigue or pressure of using this for a long time.
MICROPHONE
The microphone here is mediocre. It struggles to eliminate the hissing sound picked up from the fan and the popping sounds. It could have been nice if they added the AI Noise Cancelling feature here but that would make the headset cost a bit more.
SOFTWARE
The headset can be configured or customize via the Armoury Crate. I wouldn’t go much in-depth here but you can fine tune the headset to your liking in the software as well checking the battery percentage.
CONNECTIVITY & BATTERY LIFE
It performs well, as expected. I would recommend to put somewhere on a higher. I tested that the headset would have issues in when the dongle was connected on PC directly which is below my desk.
Battery life is quite solid as well. They rated it to last around 15 hours. I could use it for 2 days before needing a charge. Keep that in mind that the headset will turn off if no audio is playing for around 2-3 mins and you need to turn it on again to use it.
CONCLUSION
The ASUS TUF Gaming H3 Wireless is a no-BS type of gaming headset. It does what it needs to do and be over the top or give extra. Considering the price, this is a good recommendation to people who just want a good performing wireless headset and not care in other areas. But in this competitive market, there are a lot of other good options that overshadowed this headset.

SUMMARY
Overall, The ASUS TUF Gaming H3 Wireless Headset is a solid performing headset especially in gaming. I would gladly recommend it but it lacks what other gaming headsets are doing right now which is better sound or audio performance.
